1. Who we are
This online shop at dpcreator.eu is run by [company name], registration no. [registration number], VAT no. [VAT number], [address], Latvia (“dpCREATOR”, “we”). Contact: [email], [phone], or the contact form.
2. Scope
These terms apply to every order placed on dpcreator.eu. If you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence in the EU still apply, and nothing in these terms limits them.
3. Products
- Hardware: the dpCREATOR controller boards, the assembled SmartTabUI pendant and related parts.
- Digital products: the SmartTabUI pendant firmware licence, which you flash from this site.
- Free downloads: the 3D print files for the SmartTabUI case are free for everyone, with no account needed. They are not sold and are provided as is.
- Free firmware: the dpCREATOR controller firmware is free for registered customers. It is provided as is.
Product photos and screenshots show the product as closely as we can. Small differences in colour or in the printed case can occur.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in euro. [Prices include VAT. / VAT is not charged because …]. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you order and are described on the Delivery and returns page. We accept [payment methods]. Payments are processed by the payment provider you choose. We never see or store your full card details.
5. Placing an order
The product pages are an invitation to order. When you click the order button you make a binding offer. The contract is made when we confirm your order by email. We may decline an order, for example if a product can't be delivered; any payment already made is then refunded in full.
Pre-order: products marked “Pre-Order” are made in batches. The expected dispatch time is shown on the product page. If it changes, we tell you by email and you may cancel for a full refund.
6. Delivery
We ship to the countries listed on the Delivery and returns page. Digital products are available right after payment: the SmartTabUI firmware on the Flash Firmware page.
7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
- For hardware, the 14 days start on the day you, or a person you name, receive the goods. For an order delivered in several parcels, they start when you receive the last one.
- To withdraw, tell us clearly by email or post, for example with the model withdrawal form on the Delivery and returns page. Sending your notice before the 14 days end is enough.
- Send the goods back within 14 days of your notice. You pay the direct cost of returning them.
- We refund all payments, including the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the payment method you used. We may wait with the refund until we have the goods back or you have sent proof of returning them.
- You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods caused by handling beyond what is needed to check their nature, characteristics and functioning. For example, a board that has been installed in a machine and wired may lose value.
8. Digital products: no withdrawal once delivery starts
Firmware licences are digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium. When you order them you ask us to start delivery straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has started, that is, once the firmware or the files are made available to you. You confirm this at checkout.
9. Licences
- SmartTabUI pendant firmware: one licence registers one pendant by its chip ID, the first time you install the firmware on it from this site. You may then use it on that pendant and install updates from this site, from any customer account, also after the pendant changes owner. SmartTabUI is our own software and is not covered by the GPL. You may not copy, share or publish it.
- dpCREATOR WebUI: you get the right to install the WebUI from this site on up to 2 controller boards registered to your customer account and to use it with your own machines. It is included with the dpCREATOR R3 controller and the R3 + SmartTabUI combo. An assembled SmartTabUI pendant or SmartTabUI firmware bought before 29 October 2026 keeps it included. You may not share or publish it. The WebUI is a separate program from the controller firmware and is not covered by the GPL.
- SmartTabUI case files: free, under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). You may print, change and share them if you credit dpCREATOR and share changes under the same licence. You may not sell the files or prints made from them without our written permission.
- Open-source parts: the dpCREATOR controller firmware is based on FluidNC and is licensed under the GNU GPL v3. On request we provide the corresponding source code as the licence requires.
10. Legal guarantee and warranty
Consumers have the statutory guarantee for defects that exist when the goods are delivered: 2 years from delivery. If a product is faulty, contact us first. We repair or replace it, or, if that is not possible, refund it. The guarantee doesn't cover damage from wrong wiring, wrong supply voltage, overload, water, mechanical damage, or changes to the hardware.
11. Safety and liability
CNC machines, lasers and plasma cutters can cause serious injury and damage. Install the products only if you are competent to do so, follow the documentation, fit an emergency stop that cuts the machine's power, and use the correct protective equipment. The pendant E-stop cuts the step pulses on the controller, but it does not replace the machine's own safety circuits.
We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. We are not liable for lost production, damaged workpieces, tools or materials, or lost data, except where the law makes us liable. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
12. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first. We answer complaints within 15 days. If we can't resolve it together, consumers in Latvia can contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC, ptac.gov.lv), and consumers in other EU countries can contact their national consumer authority or the European Consumer Centre in their country.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country still protect you.
