dpCREATOR controller firmware
FluidNC 4.1.1 with W5500 Ethernet, the newest build, updated automatically. Flashing writes a complete image and replaces config.yaml. The steps below keep your machine configuration: it is checked first and written back after flashing.
ESP32-S3 boards need a module with 8 MB PSRAM (N8R8, N16R8 or N32R8V). ESP32 WROOM-32 boards get their own build; their apps run from the SD card. Check your board
SmartTabUI pendant firmware
The newest pendant build, updated automatically. Installed straight from this page, there is no download. A pendant is registered by its chip ID the first time it is installed with a licence; registered pendants get updates from any account. Your pendant settings are kept.
dpCREATOR WebUI
3D toolpath view with progress, job recovery, live Z adjust, rewind, run from line, job history and the file manager, on a PC, tablet or phone. Installed on your board from this page over USB; a licence covers 2 boards.
Needs the free dpCREATOR FluidNC firmware, a build from October 2026 or newer (it reports the board's ID). Flashing the full controller firmware (merged image) puts the stock FluidNC page back: install the WebUI again afterwards, it doesn't use up a board. The stock page stays on the board as Classic UI.
Standard FluidNC WebUI
The stock FluidNC page: DRO, jogging, files, console and settings. It comes with the free controller firmware, nothing to install.
dpCREATOR Studio Basic – design and make g-code
Draw or import (SVG, DXF, PDF, pictures), choose how each shape is cut, check it on virtual material and make the g-code for your router or laser.
The browser version works with any FluidNC controller – stock FluidNC, any board, any WebUI. Open it, make your design, download the .nc file and run it the way you always do. No account and nothing to install.
Install Studio on your controller
Studio is copied into the controller's flash, next to its WebUI, and then works without internet.
- dpCREATOR firmware: opens at
http://<your board>/studio.htmlor with the Studio button in the dpCREATOR WebUI. Send puts the job on the SD card, prepared in the WebUI and on the pendant, waiting for you to press Run. - Stock FluidNC 4.x: opens at
http://<your board>/flash/studio.html. Send puts the file on the SD card; start it from your WebUI's file list.
Needs FluidNC 4.0 or newer (stock or dpCREATOR) and about 500 KB free in the flash. The installer checks the firmware, that the machine is idle and the free space before it writes anything. Installation guide
dpCREATOR Motion – automate any project with FluidNC
Build your own machine one part at a time: add each motor, sensor and output as you wire it, test it, then teach the positions and run the sequence from the controller. Motion writes the controller config and the G-code for you.
The simulator on dpcreator.eu runs the example machines in your browser, no board and no account needed. To move a real machine, install Motion on the controller below.
Install Motion on your controller
Motion is copied into the controller's flash, next to its WebUI. It then works without internet, reads the controller's config, and runs your sequences from the controller itself.
- dpCREATOR firmware: opens at
http://<your board>/motion.html, with live inputs and outputs, fast sensor waits and the step names on the SmartTabUI pendant. - Stock FluidNC 4.x: opens at
http://<your board>/flash/motion.html. Sequences run the same way; limit switches and the probe show live.
Needs FluidNC 4.0 or newer (stock or dpCREATOR) and about 400 KB free in the flash. The installer checks the firmware, that the machine is idle and the free space before it writes anything.
SmartTabUI pendant case DPC-TC1 — 3D print files
3MF files for the PETG case: case body, top plate (closed, or with a 2 mm front panel), the front panel and the IO expander clip, with a render and a README.
Free for everyone, no account needed (ZIP, 1 MB, licence CC BY-NC-SA 4.0: print, change and share, but don't sell). The pendant runs the SmartTabUI pendant firmware. Parts and wiring: Build the pendant.
USB terminal, files and network
Talk to the controller over USB: send commands and read its log, open and edit config.yaml, copy files to and from the board's flash and SD card, and set up its WiFi or Ethernet. Nothing to install; use Chrome or Edge on a computer.
| Name | Size |
|---|
Board flash holds config.yaml and the WebUI. Deleting or breaking config.yaml stops the machine from working until it is fixed: download a copy first.
Changes to config.yaml are used after the board restarts.
The board tools need Chrome or Edge on a computer (Web Serial). They don't work on phones, tablets, Firefox or Safari.
